Some might call it hobbies, but I like to think of them as my little projects. Because I approach many of my hobbies with an idea or a goal in mind. Whether it is creating this website from scratch, a personal best in the gym, or the perfection of my loaf of bread. A completion of such a little "project" makes me happy and allows me to pursue another of my countless hobbies.
In the future I might post specific projects and things I've created here, but for the time being it is merely a collection of a few selected hobbies and interests of mine.
Programming
Python, HTML/CSS, Matlab, R, Praat ... The possibilities with programming are endless.
Cooking
I like experimenting with new spices and cuisines I'm not familiar with. But I still return to grandma's recipes often.
Snowboarding
I love snow and everything you can do in it. Currently focusing mostly on snowboarding.
Hiking
If there's a path I will hike it. If there are mountains and forests I will love it. The more remote, the better.
Data
Always busy collecting, analyzing and visualizing data. Not only in my research but also in my freetime.
Whittling
My newest hobby. I like creating something out of nothing and this is the perfect hobby for it.
Plants
Outside and indoors greenery is what makes me happiest.
Brain
It might be no surprise I studied psychology and cognitive neuroscience.
Mushrooms
Identifying, picking and eating. Delicious or dangerous but infinitely fascinating.
Languages
I do not only like learning languages, but also learning about languages.
Art
Whether it is in a museum or on the street. I enjoy all kinds of artistic expression. While I don't love everything, I can at least appreciate it.
Dancing
IIt has been a while since I stood on a stage, but I still dance wherever I am.

Festivals
Because they combine my passion for music and dance, and they connect people.
Photography
For me a way of capturing the beauty of the things around me.

Gym
While my goals and exercises in the gym change frequently, the benefits for body and mind stay consistent.
Music
I'm a big lover of electronic music. Making it myself has only made me appreciate it even more.

It's like a big physical puzzle. And good exercise, too.

On a quest to find and enjoy the best foods out there. I seek variety and new flavours.
Boardgames
I collect boardgames more than I get to play them. But I'm fanatic when I do.

I like to visit new places, explore different cultures and just be somewhere else sometimes.
Baking
Mostly savory, and mostly bread. Working and shaping dough is incredibly meditating.

Writing, directing, acting... I've tried it all with different degrees of amateuristic success.
Animals
They just make me happy. They always have. Especially dogs.
LEGO®
